TAT welcomes Taiwan’s accessible tourism group at Suvarnabhumi Airport Five-day Bangkok–Ayutthaya visit showcases Thailand’s leadership in inclusive travel under the “Tourism for All” direction

Bangkok, 18 November 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted a welcome event at Suvarnabhumi Airport for 29 Taiwanese travellers with mobility impairments arriving on a five-day Bangkok–Ayutthaya incentive programme from 18–22 November 2025. The visit highlights Thailand’s commitment to advancing inclusive travel experiences under the “Tourism for All” direction and positioning the country as an accessible, welcoming destination for every traveller.

The welcome was joined by representatives from Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA) and Airports of Thailand (AOT). The group arrived on EVA Air flight BR211 from Taoyuan at 11.30 Hrs. and was greeted with souvenir presentation that reflected the warmth and graciousness of Thai hospitality.

Presiding over the event, Ms. Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and South Pacific, said the welcome at Suvarnabhumi Airport symbolises Thailand’s inclusive spirit and reinforces TAT’s commitment to making the country a leading destination for accessible tourism in Asia. She added that the visit reflects growing enthusiasm among international travellers with disabilities to experience Thailand’s cultural, urban, and leisure attractions.

The delegation comprises employees of Flow, Inc., a Taiwan-based social enterprise specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology that provides employment for people with disabilities. It includes both general staff and employees with lower-body mobility impairments who use wheelchairs. Personally led by the company’s CEO, this first overseas incentive trip to Thailand marks a key step in expanding Taiwan’s “Tourism for All” segment and demonstrates Thailand’s growing recognition as an accessible and inclusive travel destination.

Jointly arranged by Taiwanese tourism partners, the programme features visits to Bangkok’s iconic landmarks, including Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, along with experiences at Asiatique The Riverfront, ICONSIAM, and a Chao Phraya River cruise aboard the Chao Phraya Princess. In Ayutthaya, the itinerary highlights the province’s cultural and leisure attractions, including Ayutthaya Historical Park and Sri Ayutthaya Lion Park, a new wildlife attraction. The visit underscores Thailand’s readiness to welcome travellers of all abilities and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen inclusive tourism nationwide.
