Bangkok, 21 June, 2017 – Bangkok Airways has been named the “World’s Best Regional Airline” and the “Best Regional Airline in Asia” from Skytrax World Airline Awards 2017 at the award ceremony held yesterday at the Paris Air Show, France. This is the third time that the Thailand-based airline has won these two prestigious awards from Skytrax.
Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth (4th from Right), Bangkok Airways’ President said, “I would like to thank all passengers who perceive the value of our dedicated services and vote us for these two awards. This is truly considered as the most precious award in the aviation industry. Wining two awards for the third time has fully manifested our continuous commitment to strive for excellence in airline services. These achievements would not be possible without the dedication of our staffs to excel in a complete airline services.”
The airlines has previously been awarded “World’s Best Regional Airline” in 2014 and 2016. It won “Best Regional Airline in Asia” in 2004-2005, 2008-2009, 2014 and 2016. It also won “South East Asia Best Regional Airline” in 2006 and 2007.

From its hub at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, the airline now operates on 68 routes covering 26 destinations in 12 countries, including Samui, Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Luang Prabang, Siem Reap, Yangon, Danang, Mumbai, Guangzhou and Maldives.
